Route

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival · Sežana

    Fly to Trieste or Ljubljana, coach transfer to Sežana (about 45 minutes). Welcome dinner at the team hotel.

  2. Day 2

    Opening sessions

    Morning football session at ŠRC Sežana. Afternoon netball court session. Evening walk through the karst botanic garden.

  3. Day 3

    Fixture day 1

    Football fixture v ND Tabor Sežana youth XI (17:00). Netball fixture v Ljubljana club (19:00).

  4. Day 4

    Lake Bled rest day

    Coach north (about 2 hours) for a full day at Lake Bled — pletna boat to the island, castle, and lake walk. Team dinner in Bled.

  5. Day 5

    Fixture day 2

    Football fixture v Italian side from Trieste (17:00). Netball fixture v Slovenian regional select (19:00).

  6. Day 6

    Postojna & fixture 3

    Morning at the Postojna caves. Late-afternoon combined double-header — football and netball — against local schools. Farewell dinner with awards.

  7. Day 7

    Departure

    Coach transfer to Trieste or Ljubljana airport, timed to the group's flight.

    6 nights twin/triple share, all breakfasts and five group dinners, private coach throughout, all pitch and court hire, referees and Slovenian/Italian opposition liaison, English-speaking guide, first-aid staff on every session, full risk assessment for school approval.

The historic 2018 Commonwealth Games gold on the Gold Coast — won in the final second against Australia — was the country's first major netball title and changed the sport at home. Since then the Roses have reached World Cup finals, won Commonwealth bronze and regularly challenged the sport's traditional southern-hemisphere giants, while producing players who have starred in England's Netball Super League and Australia's Suncorp Super Netball. Our netball tours are led by players from this elite England lineage.
